NESC Conference - Housing: Creating an Affordable, Sustainable and Equitable Housing System

This conference, which took place on the 10th of September, was designed to to stimulate debate amongst senior decision makers in the public and private sectors on the theme of Creating an Affordable, Sustainable and Equitable Housing System.

The key issues that this national conference addressed included:

  • Housing as an integrated system—policy and practice;
  • The role of the private rental and social housing sectors in providing permanent and affordable housing;
  • How to improve the supply of land and housing; and
  • The role of regulation in delivering affordable and sustainable housing.
