NESF
(National Economic and Social Forum)
Introduction
On 1st April 2010, as part of a wider organizational restructuring within NESDO, the National Economic and Social Forum (NESF), together with the National Centre for Partnership and Performance, was dissolved, and its core functions integrated into the NESC. The NESC Council has been asked to adapt its work programme to ensure that appropriate aspects of the work of the NESF is continued.
This section of the website provides information about the history of the NESF, and access to key documents produced by the NESF.
About the NESF
The NESF was established to provide advice to the Government on policies to achieve greater equality and social inclusion by analysing, monitoring and evaluating relevant programmes and policies.
In January 2007, the NESF was placed on a statutory footing as part of the National Economic & Social Development Office (NESDO), together with the National Economic & Social Council (NESC) and the National Centre for Partnership and Performance (NCPP). Subsequently, in April 2010 the NESF was dissolved.
