Climate Change: Governance for Low Carbon Transition

Ireland is in a critical phase of national policy development on climate change and transition to a low-carbon economy and society. There are considerable public governance challenges in such a transition. This project will address governance and institutional arrangements for policy analysis, engagement, decision making and implementation. Work is underway in three areas:

  1. Methods of appraisal in the process of policymaking and implementation for low-carbon transition;
  2. Multi-stakeholder agreements on energy and low-carbon transition; and
  3. Agriculture, climate change and water.
