Last week Dr Siobhán O’Sullivan, Senior Policy Analyst with NESC, attended a meeting in Barcelona on Inter‑Civilisational Dialogue from a European Perspective, jointly organised by Dublin City University and the Institute for Integrated Transitions.

The gathering brought together experts from across regions and traditions to explore how different civilisational perspectives can inform contemporary international affairs, and to contribute to a shared dialogue and future policy engagement.

Dr O’Sullivan presented NESC’s recent work, drawing on the newly released Council paper Artificial Intelligence in Service of Society: Navigating Our Way Forward and situating its insights within the broader context of human rights and the challenges of democratic governance.
