Our Networks

We engage with EU partners and the wider international community on current and emerging policy areas. The Council also operates at international level, working with national economic and social councils, and environmental councils, across other EU Member States. NESC is a member of the International Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (AICESIS), supporting international exchange, cooperation and learning.

In 2026 NESC Ireland are the hosts of the EESC Annual General Meeting in November and an EESC Reflection Paper for EU Commission will be an outcome of this work.

We actively engage with media and social media, as well as with networks and community groups, to share NESC’s work and to stay informed about key developments in the policy environment.

We operate an internship programme that provides early-career researchers with opportunities to develop their skills and gain experience in policy-relevant research and analysis.
