Economist NESC
Noel Cahill is an economist in the NESC Secretariat. His research has covered Irish economic development and a wide range of public policy areas including macroeconomic policy, housing and taxation.

Dr. Claire Finn joined the NESC as an Economist in July 2008. Claire was formerly a Research Fellow in Health Economics at UCD and then briefly at DCU.
Senior Policy Analyst NESC
Helen Johnston joined the NESC as Senior Social Policy Analyst in July 2007. Since then she has worked on issues of well-being and social reporting.

Edna Jordan joined the NESC in April 2010 having previously worked in the NCPP for over eight years. During this time she managed a range of projects and collaborative initiatives involving public and private sector organisation.

Dr. Anne-Marie has a PhD in Gender and Women's Studies from Trinity College Dublin. Her thesis compared the impact of the impact of government policies on women’s employment in France and Ireland.

Dr. Jeanne Moore joined the NESC in April 2010 after working as a Policy Analyst with the NESF for 4 years. Her projects in that time included Child Literacy: Implementation Issues and Mental Health and Social Inclusion.
Senior Economist NESC
Dr. Larry O'Connell was appointed Senior Economist to the NESC Secretariat in March 2007. His research interests include industrial organisation, innovation and the internationalisation of Irish industry.
Director, NESC
Dr. Rory O’Donnell is Director of the National Economic and Social Council of Ireland (NESC) and Chief Officer of the newly-established National Economic and Social Development Office (NESDO).
Policy Analyst NESC (currently on secondment to the Department of the Taoiseach)
Cathal O’ Regan joined the NESC as a Policy Analyst in April 2010. Previously, he spent eight years with the National Centre for Partnership and Performance, during which time he was involved in a range of research projects and policy initiatives focussed on organisational change and innovation in the private and public sectors.

Dr. John Sweeney first joined the Secretariat as an economist in 2002. He had previously been a lecturer in economics and human development at St Patrick's College, Drumcondra, and worked as a consultant on a wide range of economic and social issues.

Dr. Damian Thomas joined the NESC in April 2010 having previously worked in the NCPP since 2002. Before joining the NCPP he worked as a Research Officer with the Association of Higher Civil and Public Servants (AHCPS).
Policy Analyst NESC (currently on secondment to the Department of the Taoiseach)
Dr. Barry Vaughan joined NESC as a policy analyst in May 2009. He has an interest in the areas of regulation and public sector reform. Prior to joining NESC, he lectured at the Institute of Public Administration for 9 years on subjects ranging from criminal justice to public management and social policy.
