Larry O’Connell, is a Senior Economist at NESC. In 2013 he worked on Ireland’s Five Part Crisis, Five Years On, in particular in the areas of banking and finance, enterprise policy and greener economy. In 2012, he was project manager of the NESC Secretariat’s work report on climate change and transition to a low-carbon economy for the Irish Government. Through his work with the NESC he has contributed to the analysis of Irish economic and social policy. He holds an degree in Agricultural Economics, an M.B.S and a PhD in industrial economics from University College Dublin.
